Sun News, Good for a Laugh.

Sun News says they provide Hard News and Straight Talk, and that’s true.
Hard to believe ‘news’ and about the only voices they tolerate are provided by straight, ultra conservative commentators, the kind that speak for the Republican party these days.

The highlight so far on Sun News is their coverage of the Trudeau/Brazeau fight. Watching Ezra Levant eat crow after the fight was a sight to see.
But if you really want to have a good laugh, just catch Brian Lilley’s daily rants.
Where do they find these people? It’s like they were plucked out of Alabama, circa 1950.
The story so far is they’re having trouble attracting an audience and advertisers. With any luck, they’ll be off the air in no time (unless their crusading owner pumps in more money to keep them alive, for the third time in just over a year of, ahum, ‘broadcasting’).

I suspect they’re game plan is to try to be the most outrageous network around and stir up enough trouble that everyone will start watching. A word of caution here: unless you share the same, ultra right wing, non-tolerant, regressive views, watching Sun News will just raise your blood pressure. Of course, if you just watch in bits and pieces, you’ll be rewarding with more than a few belly laughs.

You’ve already killed more than 5,400 of your own people just so you can hold on to power. Why don’t you take a pile of money and leave? You can go live with your buddies in Russia or China. They understand you. No one else does. Remember what happened to all your other buddies in the middle east? Or do you think your people love you as much as Gaddafi thought his people loved him?

I hope that in tonight’s State of the Union address, President Obama takes no prisoners. It’s time to stop being Mr. Nice Guy, Mr. President, and be bold!
Tell the Republicans that you will do whatever is within your power to help the American people. Use your executive powers to the full extent.
The last thing America needs is another Republican administration but it will happen unless you make bold moves now!
Live up to your promise and give America hope for the future.
